Our Christmas and other little events

Well, Christmas was really great for us this year! We had a wonderful time with just each other in the morning as we opened our presents from one another. Bud was very excited to get his new riding boots and a new riding bag. I got a lot of new clothes and might I say, Bud did an awesome job at buying them for me. He even bought me two shirts made out of organic cotton! WOO-WHO! GO-GREEN!
We then we to each of our parents houses and had Christmas with them. It was a great day.

Our new video camera!!!

Bath time was pretty funny!

Him and his fires. I tell ya, it's the only thing that instantly calms him down. Too bad we ran out of wood.

Son got a new food and water bowl for Christmas, but before we filled the water side up, he thought this was his personal seat.

More news coming soon.

And I thought I had blonde moments!!!

OK, so the other night Bud and I went out on a date to Tahoe Joe's. We were so excited to go and when we got there, we were seated next to this really annoying woman. They were on their first date and she was just trying WAY to hard and being very loud. And they were like in their 40'[s or something. Anyways, that's besides the point. So we sat there for a moment looking over the menu and all of a sudden, my husband muttered the most hysterical comment I've ever heard him say.
"It smells funny in here. It smells like... wet water".
WET WATER!!!! My comment back was, "As opposed to dry water"? I looked at him in such shock. I couldn't believe he had said that. That's something I would say, but not him. It was so funny. I was dying of laughter. So I had to share it.

Where's Waldo???

There he is. His new bed. We thought we lost him. He disappeared for a little while and this is where we found him... sleeping. I guess it's our fault. After all, we used his blanket to put under the tree.

Christmas Time!

So we finally got our Christmas tree and Bud and I are not the only ones that are so excited about it. Son was introduced to bringing the outside in! My next post will show you how into it he gets. He tried to help us decorate it, but he was a little backwards. As we put ornaments on, he took them off. His favorite so far is all the round bells. He plays soccer with them.
For the first time ever, I have my own mistletoe to hang. Bud has yet to kiss me under it, but we've been busy with so much, so I'll let it slide. Knowing him though, he's probably waiting till close to Christmas and he'll do some kind of romantic something. We'll see.
Bud also decorated his painting with lights. We thing it looks cool! You can't really tell in the picture, but the lights go with the lines of the building. So it looks like the buildings were decorated with lights in 3D.

Something New

Oh it feels so good!

Sitting in front of the fire keeping warm!

So he finally figured out how to climb the screen. It was funny when he got up there and didn't know how to get back down.

Winter Ball Bloopers

OK, so our new church was having their 2nd annual Winter Ball this year and Bud and I decided it would be so wonderful to go. We got our tickets and couldn't wait for the big day. It was being held at a HUGE mansion where there was valet parking, a catered dinner, games and dancing. The night came and Bud got dressed in his nice suit and I put on the dress I wore for our wedding rehearsal. We got in the car and set off for our fancy evening. We were so excited! We arrived at the grand gates of this mansion and pulled in and around the fountain in front of the giant sparkling glass front doors! It was so beautiful! We got out and walked inside to this grand entry with cured stair cases on each side and a wonderfully lit Christmas tree in the middle. They had tables set up with candles and garland. It was so romantic in there. We grabbed and seat and started chatting with a few people waiting till dinner. The food was then ready and boy was it good. As we finished, they announced that they were going to be playing a game and each table was a team. The game was a talent show and each table had to come up with a talent. The more people that participated, the more points we got. So we had kind of a dud of a table. We couldn't think of anything good enough. As time went by and the closer it got to be for this game to start, we noticed that half our table had dissapered. What the heck! So Bud and I didn't want to be called and with nothing, so we went outside into the heated tent where the DJ was set up. As I stood out there, I thought we were being spotted so I sat down really fast on a bench. Apparently I had eating a nice amount of that delicious food because right at that moment, my zipper popped open. You know, the kind of dress where the zipper in on the side! Yeah! Popped right open. I turned to Bud with my month wide open in shock!
He said, "What?"
"You have to fix it!"
"Fix what?"
"MY DRESS BROKE!"
"Oh my gosh, are you serious?"
So I told him all he needed to do was zip in down and back up again. Problems began when the zipper would not go down!
So we had to sneak out of the tent into the backyard to get to the bathroom because otherwise I would have to walk by EVERYONE in order to get to the bathroom. So we get in there and we still can't get it. So I end up having to take my dress off so Bud can get a better hold on fixing it. So there we stand in the bathroom, me naked and Bud trying so hard to get this zipper to move. We were in there for a good 10-15 minutes trying not to make too much noise. All of a sudden we start hearing footsteps walking towards the bathroom, then...jiggle the handle. We thought, "oh great! We have to hurry up. We don't want our new church to think the newlyweds got it on in the bathroom at the Winter Ball!" After about 20 minute, we finally got it up and I was able to get dressed again. So then we were just hoping we would be able to both walk out of there with out anyone seeing us! Oh my gosh it was the funniest thing. For the rest of the night I made sure I didn't sit down. We stayed for a little dancing and fun and then we ended up going home. It was a really fun and entertaining night!

Life with a toddler, new cars and so much more!

Every year for Thanksgiving the Morrow family, as well as a few other families, go camping and riding! It is a lot of fun. The place we go to in up past redding and let me tell you, IT'S COLD! It gets so cold at night and in the morning that Bud's truck temp says ICE! IT CAN'T EVEN READ HOW COLD IT IS! You can see in some of the pictures the white frosted ground and the frozen puddle! Last year it got down to where it read 16 degrees, but then it said ice, so who knows how cold it actually got. This year was about the same except it was a few degrees warmer during the day. Bud and I are true campers so we slept in a tent! That's right, a tent! Unlike all the other weenies who live and sleep in a trailer. Hello! That's not camping. We had a little heater, air bed and lots of blankets. We, no joke, stayed warmer in our tent then everyone else said they did in there trailer. It actually got hot in our little space. We just know how to do it for real! Thank you!
I went riding for the first time this trip. It was a lot of fun. I actually got out on the quad at night the first time and then got on the bike the next day. Or the following day, I can't remember. It was nice and it made Bud sparkle to see his wife finally riding! In one of these pictures, if you look really closely you can see Bud climbing a really big hill. It was so crazy and big, he couldn't come down the same way. He was scared. The hill is worse than it looks in the picture. He's a hill climber. Thats his favorite!

Here is Son with his new adventures and sleeping habits. He just kills us with the things he does. His new favorite place to get into is the dishwasher. He is so fast too. The second I open the door he's in there. Also, he has this weird thing for Pyrex. Go figure. At least I know he's never bored. He finds something fascinating about everything!

OK, so here we have the decorations I have up so far. We don't have our tree just yet because I want to make sure it stays nice and green through New Years. We're having a Holiday party and it really just dulls the setting with a brown tree. Ew. Bud is like a little kid right now waiting for it. It seems like everyday he asks if we can go get it. He even adds a slight little kid wine to his asking. He's funny. So here is what we have so far. Not too much I know, but hey, we're newlyweds, so I'm hoping to collect more over the years!
And last, but not least! I FINALLY got my new car. Oh my gosh it seems like it's been forever. Bud also got a new truck and I though I took a picture of it, but I didn't so that will come in a few days because it's getting a check up right now! So here it is! My awesome new car! LOVE IT!

In a mood

So I have a lot I can blog about, like Thanksgiving, Buds new truck, the cat, etc. However, I've just been in a mood and I just don't want to do it. So sorry. It will all be up soon though. In fact, this weekend might just been the time to post a few posts, because I should be getting my new car the end of this week and that just might give me a little pick me up and encouragement. Man it really messes with my week when I miss church. Stupid family vacations...making me miss church. I hate that. OK, well good stuff is to come, I promise!
