Changes

Here I am, starting yet another thing. This summer of 2008 has been the most crazy time in my life I think so far. I've never felt so busy and involved in a my whole life. That or I have a terrible memory. OK, so I do have a pretty bad memory, however life has been quite a roller coaster, full of happy, sad, peaceful, relaxing, joyful, morning, depressed and bright experiences.
Last year I started dating the man of my dreams. We got engaged on October 25, 2007. We are getting married September 20, 2008. I am so thrilled and happy to be with such a wonderful man. The Lord has blessed me and I am so grateful! We've been through a lot together in just this year we've been with each other. A trip to San Diego, Disneyland, Six Flags, many riding trips, the lost of his job, months of job hunting (which we are still doing), lots of family outings, 2 churches, diets, days at the gym, apartment hunting a trip to the lake and much more. But the most recent thing has been the tragic lost of my best friend and her husband who was also our Pastor. Erik and Tanya.
They left on a Thursday with a couple that lived across the street, in their small plane to Las Vegas to celebrate both of their anniversaries.  They had a great time and on Saturday they were coming back home. They took off at 2:30 pm and something went terribly wrong. We don't know what exactly happened but they ran into a power line and crashed into a mountain, starting a 12 acre fire. All four of them died. Tanya and Erik left behind 4 small children, ages 9, 8, 7 and 3. The Wilson's left behind 3 children, ages 13, 7 and 3.
I've lost the greatest friend I have ever had and I am only so grateful that the Lord gave me Bud before he took Tanya. He has been beside me every moment and it has been so wonderful to know I can lean on him and talk to him about everything. He is my best friend.
On top of this lost, it has been a struggle getting back into reality. AND, I've just started another job. I've become a Pampered Chef consultant, while still planning a wedding. The Lord is leading me into new things and I know it will benefit both Bud and I. It will also keep me busy and meeting new people.
I keep my head uplifted and a smile on my face. I know these changes will make us stronger people and we will start our new life together and take each new day as a happy exciting adventure.
